Week 10

My last training run tonight and it went really well.  It was only 3 miles, to keep me ticking over in what is largely a resting week before the event.  I was going to go to the gym but, whilst stuck in traffic on the way home from a site visit, I noticed the satnav said 1.5 miles.  So I took note of the house I was next too and decided to run to here and back.  Initially it felt strange as I figured it best to run without glasses.  The ground seemed miles away and made me feel like a giant!!  There were no issues with the terrain despite undaluting pavements due to dropped kerbs and drain hidden by fallen leaves.  I got back in just over 20 minutes which would suggest about 7 minutes per mile.  Certainly too fast for Sunday- I couldn’t have kept that going for another two times plus an extra mile but it was a good workout.  Just need to remember to not set off too fast at the weekend.
